Tesla Model S

AutoWeek editor Rory Carroll’s Tesla Model S press car got stuck with what appeared to be a faulty charger. Mr. Carroll started tweeting about his misfortune. Tesla flew a technician to Michigan to bail him out.

Bad news for Tesla — or maybe it’s good news given all the Twitter Chatter today about the company’s customer service. How many repair techs with grab-and-go toolkits will Tesla need when it has more than 20,000 cars on the road — as the company indicates it could by the end of 2013?
